Giovanni Battista Belzoni

Giovanni Battista Belzoni was an Italian explorer and archaeologist known for his significant contributions to the study of ancient Egypt. Active in the early 19th century, he is best remembered for his explorations of the pyramids and temples, as well as his discoveries in the Valley of the Kings. His notable work, "Narrative of the operations and recent discoveries within the pyramids, temples, tombs and excavations in Egypt and Nubia; vol. 1," provides a detailed account of his findings and experiences during his travels.
