Olaudah Equiano

Olaudah Equiano was an 18th-century African writer and abolitionist, known for his influential autobiography, "The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, Or Gustavus Vassa, The African / Written By Himself." Born in what is now Nigeria, Equiano was captured and sold into slavery before purchasing his freedom.
