Two Friends
My grandmother has a pet dog and a pet cat.
They are the best of friends.
Sometimes both kitty and doggy lie down on the same rug in front of the fireplace.
They eat from the same dish, and drink from the same pan.
They both lie down in the same old armchair.
They are good pals.
Grandmother says that she likes both the dog and the cat.
She is glad that they are good friends.
If they were enemies, she wouldn’t know what to do with them.
