Acquazzoni in montagna: Commedia in due atti

A collection of three stage comedies in prose focuses on social entanglements and misunderstandings among hotel guests and provincial acquaintances. In the main play, a party at an alpine hotel debates a hazardous ascent of Monte Rosa with a stoic guide whose account of a crevasse accident provokes both bravado and apprehension, exposing jealousies and marital tensions. The shorter pieces stage domestic farces built on mistaken assumptions and ironic reversals.
