Action on Azura

A small team of Terran specialists arrives at a ravaged alien world to investigate why native inhabitants fiercely reject contact after an earlier assault by hostile invaders. Technical damage and limited supplies hamper their efforts to learn an unfamiliar language and build trust, while biochemical differences prevent shared food and, simultaneously, cross-species infection. The expedition balances pragmatic aims—securing a local base and persuading the natives of a common enemy—with the danger of renewed attack, improvising with damaged equipment and scarce resources as they attempt first contact and prepare for possible conflict.
