About This Book
A small riverside community is overwhelmed by a spring flood, and a band of local boys undertake daring efforts to save neighbors and livestock. They rescue a child from debris, salvage supplies, construct and defend a makeshift camp for displaced families, and face threats from wild dogs and opportunistic intruders. Episodes follow immediate emergencies, the practical work of rescue and sheltering, the emotional cost of loss, and the group's resilience as they weather the crisis and begin rebuilding after the waters subside.
