An Armenian princess

Set in a small Anatolian village, the narrative follows an Armenian community and their neighbors as daily life is shaped by commerce, local authority, and family bonds. A merchant and a young money-changer become involved when taxation, arrest, and legal danger unsettle the villagers; separations, captivity, daring escapes, disguises, and perilous journeys carry some characters into a palace harem and into encounters with dervishes and fire. Amid betrayals and acts of loyalty, individuals navigate injustice, power, and tradition while striving for protection, reunion, and hope for the vulnerable.
