About This Book
A physically powerful but soft‑hearted man boards with three companions and steadfastly refrains from drinking until persistent teasing persuades him to abandon his pledge. Alcohol strips away his usual good temper, triggering sudden, violent outbursts that injure friends, alarm bystanders, and culminate in a chaotic episode involving a cab and a public row. He alternates contrition and aggression, then falls asleep, leaving his roommates alarmed and unsure how to handle the aftermath. The story follows peer pressure, the fragility of self‑control, and the comic yet unsettling fallout of excess.
