Bullet with His Name

The story follows Ernie Meeker, an unremarkable man selected by two invisible, negatively massed cosmic examiners to receive a calibrated set of Gifts meant to evaluate his species. Their private deliberations set three Little, two Big, and one Great Gift, and the narrative shifts to Meeker's everyday life as small uncanny benefits, exemplified by an everlasting razor blade, begin to appear. The plot traces how mundane choices intersect with arbitrary cosmic intervention, yielding personal unease and consequences that ripple far beyond his life, while examining themes of judgment, chance, and the moral burden of bestowed advantages.
