Eufrosinchen, klein und putzig

Die ist heute schrecklich schmutzig.

Doch als Mutter waschen will,

Schreit sie sehr und hält nicht still.

Vatern macht das Schreien wild:

Was er tut — zeigt dieses Bild.

Kaum sieht das der Galgenstrick,

Lacht er laut und voller Glück.

Mutter wundert sich indessen,

Daß der Schmerz so rasch vergessen.

Derweil Mädi mit Bedacht — — —

Tut, was Vater vorgemacht.

Dies gefällt der Mutter nicht:

Furchtbar ist das Strafgericht.
