Dave Dawson on the Russian Front

An air ace and his companion are recruited by intelligence officers for a hazardous wartime mission that sends them to Moscow and then covertly toward Tobolsk to contact a captive informant. The plot uses their visible movements as decoys to draw Gestapo attention while other agents travel alternate routes; once in the Soviet zone they link with local operatives and proceed down the front to a rendezvous village. The story blends aerial action, clandestine planning, narrow escapes, and improvised tactics as the pair confront enemy patrols, political uncertainty, and the constant danger of discovery while attempting extraction and vital intelligence work.
