Dave Porter in the Far North; Or, The Pluck of an American Schoolboy

A spirited schoolboy longs to find his missing family and undertakes a series of adventures that move from school life to ocean voyages and into Arctic regions. Along the way he reunites with friends, faces bullying and mysteries at school, travels through London and by sea to Scandinavia, and confronts storms, ice navigation, wolves, bears, and snowbound isolation. Episodes alternate schoolroom camaraderie and athletic exploits with harsh survival challenges in the far north, culminating in a solitary venture that leads to a joyful family reunion and a return home.
