About This Book

The narrative follows an eccentric inventor who builds a device that renders objects and living things invisible; when the crucial invisibility half of the apparatus mysteriously goes missing, the inventor and local youths tinker with the remaining components, producing comic and unsettling episodes such as a household rooster becoming unseen and a family left astonished. Scenes alternate between demonstrations of technical marvel, public skepticism and practical misuses, exploring scientific curiosity, playful mischief and the ethical and safety dilemmas that arise when experimental technology falls into ordinary hands.
