The narrative presents a close psychological portrait of a solitary young woman whose inner life is dominated by a recurring dream of a moonlit garden and a single white flower. Raised in a cold household after her mother's death, she prefers refined sensations and melancholic reverie to ordinary duties, struggles to fulfill filial expectations, and feels alienated from routine and from her father's roughness. Scenes trace her sensitivities to color and sound, her jealousies and attachments—especially toward a talented brother—and how imagination supplies both consolation and pain. The strange plant functions as a sustaining and elusive symbol of desire, loss, and the boundary between dream and waking life.

De prijs per aflevering is vastgesteld op slechts 45 cent; bij de verschijning van de 12de zal een mooie stempelband verkrijgbaar worden gesteld (tegen een lagen prijs).
