Dick Hamilton's Football Team; Or, A Young Millionaire On The Gridiron

A wealthy young cadet returns to Kentfield Military Academy to find the football eleven ridiculed and poorly organized. After a humiliating refusal from a rival school, he recruits experienced coaches, leads rigorous practice and tryouts, and transforms reluctant players into a championship-caliber team. The narrative follows rivalries, campus elections, sabotage and a midnight rescue, several hard-fought games culminating in a decisive touchdown, and a subplot in which he works to recover electric railway stock to protect his family's fortune from a stubborn holder. Friends, a faithful bulldog, and a meddlesome uncle figure in episodes that emphasize teamwork, resourcefulness, and sportsmanship.
