NAUGHTY.

I took the sugar-tongs, and tried
To curl my doggie’s hair;
I heated them until they burned,
Which filled him with despair.
The sugar-tongs were spoiled,
And the hair would not curl,
And now I’m sent to bed,
An unhappy little girl.
