Fostina Woodman, the Wonderful Adventurer

The narrative follows a young woman from a mountain glen who endures family upheaval, the departure of loved ones on a distant voyage, and pressure from her uncle's household. She loves a sailor named Lewis Mortimer while a cousin, Rineldo Aubrey, seeks to win her and engineers deception that leads to confinement and the report of a tragic loss that leaves her ill. After escaping, she travels through villages in disguise, encounters inns, forests, and a mysterious castle, uncovers a plotted intrigue, and ultimately reveals the truth, escapes her captors, and is reunited with her beloved and the brothers.
