About This Book
A group of Lakefarm schoolboys on a mountain outing becomes the focus when one boy, Hal Kenyon, disappears; their headmaster Dr. Byrd and instructors, along with the boys, pursue clues that lead from a canyon to a wrecked aviator, hidden plans for an airship, and a secret cave. The narrative follows efforts to build and fly the airship, exploration of a mysterious airborne island and subterranean passages, confrontations with wild animals and captors, and an aerial rescue that reveals stolen wealth and clears Hal's name.
