Harhama II
About This Book
A troubled man wanders into a remote forest village and accepts shelter from an unfamiliar woman, which rekindles memories of a burned field, a destroyed home and an interrupted domestic future. He feels physical repulsion at her closeness and struggles with rising misanthropy, while nature and ruined dwellings stir visions of death and decay. Seeking solace, he repeatedly clings to the idea of his creative work as a possible refuge. As they walk through the woods, his mood alternates between despair and a hesitant desire to begin anew, yet inner turmoil and haunting images make renewal uncertain.
