My twin kitties

Two identical young kittens leave a crowded farm to find a home and are welcomed by a kind little girl, Irene. Unaccustomed to indoor life, they cause a series of harmless mischiefs—climbing curtains, tangling knitting, upsetting a basket and spoiling dinner—receive baths and brief punishments, and briefly run away. Irene searches, rescues, and forgives them, restoring them to warmth and security. The kittens, chastened and grateful, resolve to be better behaved, and the story gently emphasizes care, correction, and the comforts of a loving household.
