About This Book

A retelling of Norse cosmogony and mythic tradition describes the world's origin from the interplay of fire and ice and the emergence of primordial beings. It offers concise portraits of principal deities such as Odin, Frigga, Thor, Freyja, and Loki, and surveys the functions of the Norns, Valkyrs, giants, dwarfs, and elves.
