PEEPS AT MANY LANDS
AND CITIES
EACH CONTAINING 12 FULL-PAGE ILLUSTRATIONS IN COLOUR
This series of Little Travel Books for Young People who are of an age to be interested in the countries of the world and their peoples has steadily grown on account of its wide popularity. Each book is written in a simple and very attractive style (avoiding the strings of numbers, names and places that are the unavoidable features of the school geography), and thus the child gains valuable instruction and a vivid interest in countries, great cities, and peoples through the sheer pleasure of reading and by examining the beautiful illustrations. The youthful reader becomes absorbed in descriptions of how children work and play, and in the way of living, in the various countries of the world.
The volumes are handsomely bound and splendidly illustrated in colour, and young people may now possess a series as attractive to them as Black's "Colour Books" are to the older folk.

"PEEPS AT MANY LANDS"
(IN FRENCH)
PUBLISHED UNDER THE TITLE OF
LES BEAUX VOYAGES
EACH VOLUME CONTAINING 12 FULL-PAGE ILLUSTRATIONS IN COLOUR
Arrangements have been made to issue the volumes in the "Peeps at Many Lands" Series in French. The letterpress will not be a translation into French of the English text, but in most cases will be an entirely new description of the countries dealt with, written in a bright and vivacious style by well-known Frenchmen, and the beautiful illustrations in colour, which form such an attractive feature of the English Edition, will be retained. The series will be edited, with a preface, by Jean Aicard, of the Académie Française.

This is a new series of colour-books produced at a popular price, and they are the most inexpensive books of this character which have ever been produced. They therefore make a significant epoch in colour-printing, bringing for the first time a high-class colour-book within the reach of all. The illustrations are by well-known artists, and their work has been reproduced with the greatest accuracy, while the printing reaches an exceedingly high level. The authors have been selected with great care, and are well known for the charm of their style and the accuracy of their information.
