Der stille alte Goethe.

Auf meinem grünen Kachelofen in meinem grünen Schlafkabinette,
Schräg gegenüber meinem gelben Messingbette,
Steht Christian Rauchs kleine Goethestatuette.
Von der grünen Tapete bekommt sie einen grünen Schein.
Sie ist bloß aus Gips, und Frau Lisette
Findet, daß sie kein Verhältnis zum Ofen hätte:
Sie sei zu klein.
Aber, seh ich sie an, fällt mir allerhand ein,
Was ich (nicht im Schlafzimmer) zu tun noch hätte:
Der stille alte Goethe mahnt, tätig zu sein.
