Satellite of Fear

A crippled miner's ship becomes a trap when its air-regenerator fails and two men sent to reach a distant outpost vanish on the frozen, lightless far side of a small body. The remaining crew, guarding valuable radium ore, struggle with dwindling oxygen while tensions surface over a young woman who claims command and insists on mounting a rescue despite superstitious fears. As three men don space-suits to attempt a breakout, they confront an alien, shadowlike presence in the spectral darkness, turning survival into a fight against an unknown force. The narrative examines isolation, frontier danger, gendered expectations, and the precariousness of life on a hostile celestial landscape.
