Spacemen Never Die!

A man confronts resentment and jealousy when his wife keeps a full-sized three-dimensional portrait of her famous, deceased first husband on their dining room wall. He tries to remove or destroy the image and temporarily leaves, only to learn from a former companion that the dead man was restless and ill-suited to domestic life. Returning, the couple reconciles as he accepts her attachment to memory; she later discreetly disposes of a lifelike humandroid replica of her late husband. The piece blends domestic comedy with gentle commentary on memory, celebrity and manufactured likenesses.
