The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Jr.

A young cat discovers a picture-book portrait of his famed sire, dons a pair of red-topped boots and a cap, and sets out to find him. His journey is episodic and playful, taking him into a world of nursery-rhyme figures and folkloric scenes where he aids strangers, joins a circus, performs daring rescues, and meets characters from Mother Goose, Jack and the Beanstalk, and the Queen of Hearts. Encounters range from comic mishaps to helpful deeds—freeing a pig, assisting beggars, and stopping fights with plum-cake—until he learns his father's whereabouts and gains friendships and small rewards along the way.
