About This Book
Set in the Bad Lands and the small village of Glendora, the story follows Jeremiah Lambert, a peddler who becomes involved with a charismatic rider known as the Duke and a tough outlaw named Whetstone. Encounters among ranch hands, races and brawls, knife fights, shifting loyalties, and territorial rivalries drive a sequence of camp scenes, pursuits, and reckonings. The narrative moves between dusty frontier life, comic and violent confrontations, and tests of honor and allegiance as characters vie for horses, respect, and survival on a harsh landscape. Episodic chapters build toward unmaskings, legal threats, and the resolution of personal rivalries.
