The Enchanted Typewriter

A narrator discovers an old, apparently autonomous typewriter that produces material overnight, and the resulting texts become a catalogue of comic fantasias. Through these automatic compositions he conducts mock interviews, edits capricious memoirs, and stages satirical visits to a populated afterlife where historical and literary figures reappear. The pieces include a playful handbook to the beyond, parodic memoirs and detective pastiches, and whimsical set pieces such as social skits and improvised tours. The collection blends light satire, absurdist humor, and conversational reportage in an episodic sequence of short, witty sketches.
