About This Book
A troop of young Girl Scouts spends a summer at a mountain resort and becomes involved with a mysterious little girl called Maid Mary and her stern attendant Reda. Their days mix outdoor pursuits, service, and sleuthing as they follow trails into caves, find a secret spring and hidden treasures, care for an enigmatic pet, and help an orphan linked to a grove of orchids. Episodes emphasize teamwork, practical skills, and resourcefulness as the girls respond bravely to surprises that test their loyalty and quick thinking.
