About This Book
A bookish man who loves old volumes discovers folded sheets of garbled typing hidden in a library book and recognizes them as coded messages. He follows a striking young woman who borrows the volume and observes her transferring the notes to a companion. Tracing repeated words and names, he tries to decipher the code and ingratiate himself through a contrived cafe encounter. The story mixes curiosity and flirtation, with cryptic language and small social maneuvers revealing a secret exchange concealed within ordinary routines.
