The Man the Sun-Gods Made

The story follows Tyr, a physically perfect man venerated as a sun-fed god by the Trylla who sustains himself on his planet's solar energy yet senses he is human. He explores a mysterious stone tower and its strange books and devices, gaining knowledge that unsettles him even as he enjoys power and the favors of Fay, whose greed complicates their relationship. When the ancient ardth return and threaten the people, Tyr must confront external danger and an internal struggle between impulsive violence, longing for normal human life, and the responsibilities imposed by his godlike status.
