Yesterday, on January 2, 2047, Professor Dr. Samuel G. Pinsky – Nobel Laureate in Physics and Director of the Planetary Committee for Contact – passed away in the P&A Tower building in Palo Alto.
Preliminary reports indicate that Dr. Pinsky committed suicide by falling from his 142nd-floor office window. No signs of foul play have been identified.
In light of Dr. Pinsky's significant scientific contributions, his pivotal role in the planet's demilitarization and the development of modern infrastructures, as well as his two decades of leadership in the Committee, an internal investigation has been launched under established procedures.
Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
