About This Book
A driven filmmaker obsessed with realism recruits extraterrestrials who arrive in the valley to appear as themselves in a Mars-set movie, intending to film on-location and include a controversial nude bathing scene. Creative and cultural clashes ensue when the alien visitors, despite their advanced technology and willingness to help, balk at the director's demand, citing their own moral censorship; tensions escalate until the visitors withdraw and depart, leaving the would-be production collapsed. The story satirizes industry egotism, censorship, and the absurdity of attempting total authenticity in entertainment.
