Two boys, closely resembling one another and nicknamed the Tarzan Twins because of a family link to the famous ape-man, travel from school to Africa to visit their relative's estate. Their journey includes a train derailment that strands them at the edge of the jungle and soon leads into encounters with wild country, Waziri warriors, and the ape-man himself. The narrative follows their outdoor trials and discoveries, physical training, and lessons in self-reliance as they adapt to jungle life and unforeseen dangers.
