About This Book
A young petty criminal accepts a government offer instead of rehabilitation and is taken to a remote research base where he joins a program that sends agents into the past to confront rival teams and exploit prehistoric contacts. Training and missions force him to adapt to unfamiliar landscapes and cultures, confront moral questions about interference, and test loyalties under extreme conditions. Action alternates with exploration of strategy, survival, and personal transformation as he learns to use cunning and restraint to survive missions that blur lines between duty, identity, and historical consequence.
