The Unknown Wrestler

The story follows a young clergyman who, weary of institutional life, adopts a laborer's disguise and wanders into a rural parish seeking honest work. He confronts poverty, local prejudice, and domestic hardship while forming ties with townspeople, including a street musician and her daughter. Through a sequence of moral trials, misunderstandings, repairs of a neglected rectory, and escalating community conflicts, he is compelled to prove himself in a public contest whose outcome settles personal and civic claims.
