About This Book
A witty science-fiction tale centers on a jocular university scientist whose theatrical demonstrations and expertise draw official surveillance after sightings of unexplained aerial objects. When an agent begins covertly monitoring his communications the scientist retaliates with an elaborate prank, impersonating an extraterrestrial caller to alarm a distant colleague. The jest produces recorded amusement but immediately backfires when the colleague is revealed to be something other than he appears and employs a small silvery device that emits ozone to remove the prankster, transforming a comic caper into an abrupt, unsettling outcome.
