Travelogue

The story follows Wesley Filburn, a mild-mannered man who rescues a tiny, doll-like child from a creek and is unexpectedly drawn into the child's diminutive, book-lined world. There he meets the child's composed parents, who explain their role as interstellar travel advisers and, obliged by his rescue, offer him a chance to see other worlds, including an idyllic planet called Sonimuira. The encounter disrupts Wesley's provincial routine and gently initiates a late-blooming adventure that explores wonder, cultural dislocation, and the contrast between ordinary life and imaginative cosmic possibility.
