About This Book
A collection of short tales set among medieval troubadours and their pages, portraying life at a poetic court where lords sing, compete, and are judged by a music-loving monarch. Episodes follow the camaraderie and mischief of youthful pages, the struggles and triumphs of composing and performing, and atmospheric scenes of feasting, travel, and contest. Interwoven are other vignettes, including a child whose song uncovers a lost poem and undertakes an earnest quest to restore it to her people.
