One one-act verse piece unfolds in a medieval castle where an elderly lord, his compassionate daughter, and their guests enact a tense chess match that exposes loyalties, honor, and quiet sacrifices. A second, two-act legend stages a poetic exploration of love's claims and resolutions through allegorical encounters and heightened speech.
