About This Book

A set of short illustrated children’s episodes centers on an elderly rabbit gentleman whose attempts at new activities lead to comic mishaps and small triumphs. In one tale he takes up roller skates with a young companion, careens down hills, leaps puddles, tumbles and is helped when his legs splay, then manages to outpace a pursuing alligator; in another he is tricked out of his hat by two predators and helps organize a snowball ambush with neighborhood animals. The vignettes combine slapstick physical humor with plain lessons about resourcefulness, cooperation, and playful problem-solving.
