About This Book
The narrative follows two young women whose unlikely boarding-school friendship deepens as they leave school and enter wider society. One is lively and impulsive, the other refined and thoughtful; their differing temperaments produce both mischief and steadfast support through school episodes such as comic language lessons, secret notes, and improvised dances.
