He was a professor at MIT and co-founder of the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He authored key works on machine learning, neural networks, the theory of mind, and cognitive architectures. He was a recipient of the Turing Award (1969). His ideas about the structure of human intelligence and the modeling of thought laid the foundation for modern AI and many areas of robotics, cognitive science, and the philosophy of mind.</p>

He is the co-founder and CEO of Wiz, one of the world's leading companies in cloud security. Before Wiz, he headed Microsoft's cloud security solutions development division. In 2025, his company Wiz was acquired by Google for $32 billion – one of the largest deals in the history of cybersecurity. Rappaport is considered one of the key innovators in the field of cloud infrastructure protection and security architectures.</p>

He created one of the first AI programs (Logic Theorist, 1956), and contributed to management theory, the psychology of thinking, computer science, and economics. His interdisciplinary ideas formed the foundation of the modern understanding of how people and machines make decisions.</p>
