Conspiracy on Callisto

The story follows Peter Duane, who wakes with amnesia aboard a ship bound for Callisto while a revolt simmers; he unknowingly holds a secret that could determine the uprising's outcome. A dispute over payment with a white-haired associate leads to violence and an in-flight accident that kills the associate, after which Duane is treated in the ship's sick bay and tended by a young nurse. On Callisto a man named Andrias presses him to hand over the cargo and accept a disputed payment, exploiting Duane's confusion. The narrative examines identity, divided loyalties, and opportunism in a tense frontier setting.
