Testing

A veteran star pilot assigned to survey a planet slated for a destructive weapons test discovers human habitation and must choose between reporting the find and taking action to protect the settlement. The plot follows his shift from routine orbital reconnaissance to direct contact with villagers, and it examines the clash of bureaucratic orders, political pressures, and personal conscience. Scenes alternate between technical details of space operations and intimate portrayals of an unfamiliar landscape and community, highlighting ethical dilemmas that arise when impersonal strategic decisions threaten real lives.
