About This Book
This work follows a solitary wanderer through a radioactive, post-apocalyptic Deathlands who crosses paths with a guarded young scavenger fitted with a crude hook in place of a hand. Their cautious encounter and subsequent travels expose a landscape of ruined infrastructure, poisoned dust, and preserved corpses, where resources are scarce and other survivors pose constant danger. Episodic confrontations and opportunistic alliances illustrate daily scavenging, the mechanics of survival, and recurring moral tensions between cooperation and violence.
