Glen of the High North

The narrative follows a young man who, after a sudden sighting of a striking young woman, travels north into gold country and joins a slow-moving rush to a remote mining camp. Along the trail and in the camps he encounters seasoned prospectors, gamblers, and fellow newcomers, endures storms, wilderness hardships, and clashes that include gunfights, imprisonment, and schemes among rival claimants. A romantic thread develops alongside tensions over wealth and loyalty, while revelations and confrontations gradually uncover plotting and hidden identities before the story reaches its resolution with escapes, rescues, and the unmasking of wrongdoers.
