The Second Honeymoon

A young man, Jimmy Challoner, believes he has found true love with an ambitious actress and prepares for marriage, while his childhood friend Christine, quietly attached to him, watches and later becomes entangled as secrets from Jimmy's past and interfering relatives and acquaintances complicate relationships. Misunderstandings, jealousies and revelations lead to broken promises, a renewed engagement and painful reckonings as friends and confidants intervene. The narrative follows shifting loyalties, the consequences of past choices, and how love, social ambition and hidden truths force the characters to confront their feelings and make hard decisions about marriage and trust.
