The Airlords of Han

A twentieth-century man awakens centuries later to find his homeland subjugated by a scientifically advanced Mongolian ruling elite that controls the skies with airships and disintegrator rays. He joins a forest-based American resistance that develops secret weapons to strike back, but is captured and conveyed to a sumptuous mountain city where he experiences prolonged physical comforts paired with relentless psychological torment. Han interrogators employ hypnotism, staged seduction, and fabricated viewplate images showing his wife in peril to force betrayal. Despite nightmares and inducements, he resists, clinging to earlier moral convictions while the larger guerrilla campaign against the airlords continues.
