Teams: A Terran Empire story

An Evaluation Team arrives to investigate reports that a system's residents are transforming into vampiric Kins after exposure to a pseudo-virus; authorities and media debate whether the afflicted are dangerous or sustainable through willing donors who provide blood without harm. The team examines surveillance and broadcasts, submits to susceptibility testing at customs and health checkpoints, and negotiates law enforcement, medical screening, and public perception. Throughout, commanders weigh the ethical limits of military intervention and occupation against public safety and the rights and treatment of the newly altered individuals.
